  • Fresh heavy cream (lightly whipped)3 cl
  1. 1Pre-warm a heatproof glass or Irish coffee mug with hot water, then discard.
  2. 2Add brown sugar to the warm glass.
  3. 3Pour in hot coffee and stir until the sugar dissolves.
  4. 4Add Irish whiskey and stir once.
  5. 5Hold a spoon just above the surface and slowly pour lightly whipped cream over the back of it so it floats.
  6. 6Do not stir — sip the hot coffee through the cool cream.
